We stayed in this hotel during October 2015.
This was my first trip to a Sterling Resort after transferring the membership to my name. Overall it was a very nice trip.
We had taken 6 rooms for a family get together.
The staff was very helpful.
We had taken a package for food wherein 3 times a day food cost around 1060 rupees(All were buffet type). They have lot of options available in their menu and food was tasty aswell (less spicy)
Location wise, Yelagiri doesn’t have much attractions but the only 2 points Murugan temple and lake (for boating) are very near to this resort. Lot of options for Trekking, I guess…
There is a swimming pool in the resort but make sure you bring in the swimming attire, else you will have to shed some money buying new ones.(approx. 260 for mens trousers).Swimming Pool is cleaned every day morning..
They arrange a DJ on a couple of days in a week.
There are some games like TT, where in you can spend some time.
Rooms are spacious with a balcony available for most of them.
This is not a Hill view or lake view type of resort. So please don’t set some expectations in that perspective.
In places like Yelagiri , you would be spending a lot of time within the resorts/hotels or home stays where you stay. So selecting a proper place to stay is very important and I would recommend Sterling Marigold Ridge for a wonderful stay. I think the resort guys will arrange a trip to a sunset point at 4: 30 PM in the evening but I have not taken that trip. On request basis, probably they can arrange Sun rise point visit aswell.
